Come Meet Our Animals!

Visit The Gentle Barn and groom the horses, brush the cows, give the pigs tummy rubs, hug the goats and sheep, sit under the shade trees, munch on popcorn, and make new friends.

When you visit, we ask that you do not bring in meat, poultry, fish or dairy foods onto the property out of respect for the animals.  On Sundays we regularly offer vegan pizza, vegan hot dogs and vegan cupcakes for sale from our snack shop.  If you would like to order from our vendors for your visit, just let us know.

There are several different ways you can visit us:

Sundays

Visit us any Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We ask a $10.00 donation per person.

And for our regular visitors, consider a Season Pass.  For just $50, you can get a season pass and skip all the lines!  No waiting to get in the front door and no waiting to get into the upper barnyard.  We are also creating a special Season Pass area for your picnic lunch.  Get the VIP treatment with your Season Pass!

Private Tour

Fall in love with the animals on a private tour with Ellie, our founder.  Unlike Sundays, when you get the share the barnyard with hundreds of other

wonderful people, during private tours, you get the barnyard pretty much to yourself.  Ellie will tell you the stories that will melt your heart, and you can interact with the animals in a relaxed and unstructured way.   There is nothing quite like it.  For private tours, we ask a $400 donation.

Birthday Party

There are two ways that you can have a party at The Gentle Barn, a Sunday party with the public or a private party.

Sunday parties are held during our normal public hours (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) and you can enjoy the animals and picnic area along with our other visitors. The donation we ask for Sunday birthday parties is the same as all other Sunday visitors, $10 per person.

When you have a private party at The Gentle Barn you get to have the place pretty much to yourselves. There is nothing quite like mingling among the animals when there are no distractions. For a private party, we ask a donation of $400 dollars.

Field Trip

A visit to The Gentle Barn provides children from any background a great opportunity to learn about farm animals with their unique features and personalities.  Scout troops, home school groups, school classrooms, church groups or any other group of children are all welcome to have a field trip here.  We ask $10 per child with a minimum commitment of $200 per visit. 

The Gentle Barn is also perfect for birthday parties for adults, graduation parties and corporate picnics too!  Give us a call and let us figure out how to work with you to create a great experience.

Directions from the South (L.A. and the Valley):

Take 405 North (or 210 West) to 5 North to 14 North (Lancaster/Palmdale)  Exit Sand Canyon Road and turn Left.  Go over the Canyon and turn right on Sierra Highway.  The Gentle Barn is located about 1.1 miles on the Left.
