Read Thumper's Story ^{(In Memoriam)}

Thumper was 1 among over 100 animals rescued from a cruelty situation. At that time, he came to live at The Gentle Barn, but was too young and sick to be neutered. Thumper regained his strength much sooner than we expected and ended up fathering 6 babies! As a rescue, we don’t see fathers too often, but we are so grateful that we had the privilege to watch him love all of his children and wives over the past 10 years. Thumper has taught many that no matter what species you are, all fathers want the opportunity to love their children. We may all look different, but we are all the same.
