Read Story's Story ^{(In Memoriam)}

Story was taken from her own mother and family as a youngster and for 20 years, she was impregnated over and over again with her babies taken from her. Her pelvis and hips were severely damaged from being bred. Her body was exhausted from being permanently pregnant and nursing. She was lonely, grieving, invisible, and unheard until she got to retire at The Gentle Barn. Story finally found her voice and purpose. She showed guests how magical cows are and healed hurting humans in her embrace. Story received excellent veterinary care, acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractic treatments, energy healing, organic hay, nutrient-rich grain, bedtime cookies, and Sun Chlorella to boost her immune system. Eventually, even with all this support, Story was immobile and ready to be freed from her body. Story left peacefully and easily when she was ready. I like to imagine Story reunited with her mom and all her babies, only to know love, family, and joy forever more.

We named her Story because she carried such an important tale of what is happening out there to millions of mommy cows in the meat and dairy industries and the responsibility we all have to stop their suffering.
