Penny was a tiny baby when she fell off a transport truck. A man driving by saw Penny on the side of the road and picked her up and saved her life. Penny was then adopted by a young woman and went everywhere with her. When it became clear that Penny would get too big to live in a house, she was brought to The Gentle Barn Missouri. Penny acclimated to life with us very quickly, made friends, and loves the belly rubs and all-day attention she gets from our staff, volunteers, and guests.
