Read Diamond's Story (In Memoriam)
We rescued Diamond in 2017 when she was around the age of 2. Diamond was used for her egg production, but when her laying slowed down, Diamond was going to be killed. We took Diamond hoe to The Gentle Barn Missouri instead where we loved her not for her eggs, but for her feathered beauty, intelligent eyes, and melodic song that she sang all day. Diamond was full of life and curiosity, and loved roaming the barnyard all day long in search of tasty treats. Diamond was always busy going on new adventures in the barnyard with her sisters. She was rescued with another chicken, Georgia, who we will shower with extra love and attention as she grieves the loss of her sister.
