Read Blossom's Story (In Memoriam)
We are so sad that our Blossom has passed away. It was sudden and, although we knew he didn’t have long, unexpected. Blossom was a broiler chicken, his body was built to fail from the beginning. He was genetically engineered to be as big as possible so he could be eaten at 5 to 7 weeks old. We were lucky enough to get him at only a couple weeks old and were able to give him the best life possible and be his voice for as long as we could. Blossom made it until just under 5 months old and was triple the size of any normal size rooster. Although we knew he was a boy, he never got to his first crow. He was so sweet, innocent, loving, and curious and we will continue to tell his story and be his voice for his sister Daisy and every baby that doesn’t get the opportunity they did. Blossom changed our lives and I hope he changed yours too. Please help us create a more Gentle world, consider Blossom, and choose a more compassion diet.
